Baby alpaca is trapped inside a cotton cage, making a snuggly fabric with a gentle halo without too much fluff. The yarn has an almost woolen-spun texture, whilst maintaining softness and warmth. This yarn will make the best sweaters and accessories. Alpaca Cotton has a sport weight yardage, but knits at a DK gauge.

After being dyed, our yarn is thoroughly rinsed, cured, washed, and rinsed again.  However, you may notice some color loss with the first wash, especially with dark reds and blues.  If you are concerned about bleeding, wash separately from other colors and, as always, in cool water with a ph neutral detergent. Lay flat to dry and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
